Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky Update Set for February 24 Launch
The highly anticipated Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update will officially launch on February 24, 2024, bringing a wealth of new content and features for players. This update represents February’s installment in the ongoing roadmap published by Embark Studios, following the January release known as Headwinds. March will see the arrival of Flashpoint, with Riven Tides set to follow in April. Collectively, these updates are part of a broader initiative called Escalation.
Release Timing Across Time Zones
While the exact release time for the Shrouded Sky update has not been confirmed, previous updates have typically occurred at 4:30 a.m. EST. Based on this pattern, players can expect the following release times in their respective time zones:
– 1:30 a.m. PST for the west coast of North America
– 4:30 a.m. EST for the east coast of North America
– 6:30 a.m. BRT for Brazil
– 9:30 a.m. GMT for the United Kingdom
– 10:30 a.m. CET for Western Europe
– 6:30 p.m. JST for Japan
– 8:30 p.m. AEDT for the east coast of Australia
New Features and Content
The Shrouded Sky update introduces several exciting new elements. One major feature is the “Hurricane” map condition that players will need to navigate. This condition will involve strong winds, impacting gameplay significantly. Players can expect increased speed when moving with a tailwind, while headwinds will slow them down. Additionally, throwables will react to the wind direction, adding a layer of strategy to combat.
The update will also allow players to encounter debris lifted by the winds, which can affect shields, causing them to “glitch and spark.” Players are advised to unequip their shields when in open areas; while this makes them more vulnerable, it also reduces their visibility to other raiders. This low visibility will also affect Arc enemies, potentially leading to unexpected encounters.
Another key aspect of this update is the introduction of a “new Arc threat.” While details remain vague, speculation suggests that the Shredders from the Stella Montis map may escape and appear in other areas, particularly Blue Gate. The barricaded tunnels in Blue Gate are believed to connect directly to Stella Montis, heightening the excitement for players.
The update will not include an entirely new map, as a new map is expected in April. Instead, players can look forward to substantial updates to existing maps. Possible changes could involve the addition of buildings in Buried City, new pathways in Stella Montis, or environmental disasters affecting structures in Spaceport.
In addition to these features, players can anticipate a new project to complete, a new raider deck, and the commencement of the expedition window. While new quests are likely, players embarking on expeditions may need to finish existing quests before accessing them.
As the gaming community eagerly awaits the Shrouded Sky update, players can continue to engage with the Shared Watch event, which was added last week. A comprehensive guide is available for those looking to maximize their rewards from this event.
