Oregon Ducks Unveil Nature-Inspired Nike Air Max 95 Sneakers
The Oregon Ducks have launched a new line of Nike sneakers that pay homage to the state’s natural beauty and its timber industry. The Division Street collective, which focuses on the Ducks’ Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, collaborated with Nike to create the Air Max 95 “Oregon Ducks” pack. This collection features two unique designs inspired by the forests and lumber of Oregon.
The first design, named “The Woods,” reflects the lush forests that cover approximately 47 percent of Oregon. This version showcases shaggy suede in five shades of green, complemented by neon green lace loops and the iconic Swoosh, reminiscent of the classic Air Max 95 Neon. The shoe’s branding includes a logo patch on the tongue that reads “DOAF,” representing the Ducks of a Feather brand within Division Street. It is completed with a black sole unit featuring colorless Air Max units.
In contrast, the “Lumber Yard” edition utilizes wrinkled leather instead of suede and presents a tonal brown palette that extends from the upper to the sole unit. The Air Max units on this variant also maintain the brown theme. Details for this shoe include a woodgrain print insole adorned with burn motifs featuring the Oregon “O” logo and DOAF, along with a removable wooden tag showcasing the university’s emblem.
Both designs will be available in two separate releases. The first will occur on March 21, 2024, through the Flight Club website, followed by a second release on March 26, 2024, via GOAT. Each pair will retail for $250.
This collaboration not only emphasizes the Oregon Ducks’ connection to their home state but also highlights the increasing trend of athletic brands incorporating local themes into their products. With their unique designs and local inspirations, these sneakers are poised to capture the attention of both Ducks fans and sneaker enthusiasts alike.
