These awards will be presented during a new prime-time special titled “Golden Eve,” which will air on January 8, 2026, at 20:00 local time on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.

The 2026 Golden Globes will introduce a new category to honor podcasters, marking a significant expansion of the awards. Hosted for the second consecutive year by comedian Nikki Glaser, the ceremony is scheduled for January 11, 2026, airing live at 20:00 on CBS and streaming for Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers. For those with the essential plan, the ceremony will be available on-demand the following day.

In the nominations, “One Battle After Another” emerged as the frontrunner with an impressive nine nominations, including a nod for best motion picture, musical or comedy. The film also earned recognition for its lead actor, Leonardo DiCaprio, nominated for best performance by a male actor in a motion picture, musical or comedy. On the television side, “The White Lotus” led with six nominations, including best television series, drama.

Several actors with New England ties also received nominations. Ayo Edebiri from Dorchester is nominated for best performance by a female actor in a television series, musical or comedy, for her role in “The Bear.” Additionally, Adam Sandler from New Hampshire is recognized for his supporting role in “Jay Kelly.”
