Panther Athletics Schedule: Upcoming Events for November 2023
The Panther athletics program has a busy schedule lined up for the end of October and early November 2023, featuring a range of competitive events across multiple sports. These activities are set to engage student athletes and the community throughout the week.
October Events
On October 28, the Panther program will showcase its talents with several key events. The One Act Play will perform Dracula at Carver, starting at 11:45 a.m.. Athletes will also compete in the varsity air rifle event against Dooly County at 5:00 p.m.. Additionally, the varsity flag football team will face off against Dougherty and Carver, with games scheduled for 5:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. at home.
The following week, on October 30, the varsity flag football team will travel to Worth County for a match at 5:30 p.m.. Later that evening, the varsity football team will play against Columbus at 7:00 p.m. at Kinnett Stadium, marking another significant encounter for the Panthers.
November Competitions
As November begins, the Panther athletics program will continue its momentum with several important competitions. On November 1, the varsity cross country team will participate in the GHSA Cross Country Class 2A sectional/region meet hosted by East Jackson at 8:15 a.m.. At the same time, the middle school wrestling team will compete in the Jones County Takedown Tournament, starting at 9:00 a.m..
Additionally, the middle school boys’ basketball team will host the Sumter County Boys showcase, with the exact time to be announced. This event will take place at Sumter County High School, offering an opportunity for younger athletes to shine.
With a diverse range of events scheduled, the Panther athletics program is poised for an exciting end to October and a dynamic start to November. Community support for these athletic endeavors is vital, and local fans are encouraged to attend and cheer on their teams as they compete in these upcoming matches.
