Margot Robbie Excluded from Gender-Swapped American Psycho Remake

Rumors suggesting that Margot Robbie would star in a gender-swapped remake of American Psycho have been dispelled. A report from The Sun last week indicated that the actress, known for her role in Babylon, was set to lead the adaptation directed by Luca Guadagnino. However, Deadline has since contradicted this claim, stating that their sources describe the project as a “non-starter.”

The speculation surrounding the new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis‘s novel has grown since it was announced that Lionsgate and Guadagnino would collaborate on the film. Previous reports suggested that actors Jacob Elordi and Austin Butler were in discussions for roles in the project. Additionally, actress Chloë Sevigny proposed the idea of reprising her role as Jean from the 2000 film, but this suggestion reportedly did not resonate with the director.
