REMAX Expands Global Reach with New Franchise in Morocco

REMAX®, the leading name in real estate, has announced the sale of REMAX Morocco, marking a significant expansion of its global presence. The new master franchise, headquartered in Casablanca, positions REMAX to tap into the growing real estate market of North Africa. This strategic move further solidifies REMAX’s commitment to connecting buyers and sellers through a robust international network.
With a footprint in over 110 countries, REMAX Morocco will be led by Regional Owners Rachida Khalil and Bilal Dabri, both of whom bring extensive entrepreneurial experience in transportation and logistics. Their backgrounds in business development, marketing, and operations will be key as they seek to enhance the real estate experience in Morocco.
Khalil and Dabri expressed their optimism about the Moroccan real estate market, stating, “We saw exceptional growth potential in the Moroccan real estate market. The sector is expanding rapidly, and we chose to bring the REMAX brand to Morocco to offer clients world-class service and access to a global network of opportunities.” They identified high-profile events such as the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2030 FIFA World Cup as catalysts for increased investment and international interest in the country’s property market.
Morocco’s appeal as a prime tourist destination is also drawing foreign investors, particularly in sectors like second homes and rental properties. “This international demand is energizing the market,” Khalil and Dabri noted. “With its global reach and proven expertise, REMAX is ideally positioned to support this growth and raise the standards of the market.”
While REMAX Morocco signifies the official sale of master franchise rights, the brand previously operated in the region through REMAX City, a brokerage based in Tangier. Now integrated into the REMAX Morocco network, REMAX City will benefit from enhanced regional leadership and increased local resources.
REMAX Morocco aims to establish a strong presence across the country, with ambitious plans to sell more than 100 franchises and recruit over 1,000 real estate sales associates. These goals reflect the leadership team’s confidence in Morocco’s market potential and their dedication to expanding access to professional real estate services nationwide.
Shawna Gilbert, Senior Vice President of REMAX Global and Commercial, emphasized the benefits of this expansion. “Thanks to the global REMAX network, buyers and sellers in Morocco will enjoy broader visibility and access to international investors,” Gilbert stated. “They’ll also benefit from modern tools and highly trained agents. Khalil and Dabri are passionate leaders who will bring a new level of service to the market.”
Khalil added, “We aspire to continue to energize the Moroccan real estate market by opening it to the world through the strength of the REMAX network, following the principle: Think global, act local.”
