Fresno Woman Arrested for Assault Causing Injury to Child

A 23-year-old woman from Fresno, California, identified as Brittany Alvarez-Aguilar, was arrested on March 18, 2024, following a domestic violence incident that resulted in injuries to a young child. Authorities reported that during the altercation, Alvarez-Aguilar struck a victim who was holding the child, leading to the minor suffering a laceration to the head.

According to the Fresno Police Department, the incident involved the use of a bamboo backscratcher as a weapon.
