MaxPreps and MHSAA Launch Partnership to Enhance High School Sports

The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) has announced a strategic partnership with MaxPreps, a leading online platform for high school sports coverage. This collaboration, revealed on September 5, 2025, aims to improve the visibility, accuracy, and accessibility of information pertaining to high school sports in Mississippi.
Under this agreement, MaxPreps will become the official source for MHSAA rosters, scores, statistics, and brackets. This transition allows member schools to utilize MaxPreps’ comprehensive platform, which is designed to help coaches and athletic directors efficiently manage team information. Fans, media, and college recruiters will benefit from having a centralized hub for high school sports coverage.
Rickey Neaves, executive director of the MHSAA, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re excited to partner with MaxPreps to provide our schools, student-athletes, and communities with a comprehensive platform to showcase the incredible talent across Mississippi.” He emphasized that this partnership aligns with the MHSAA’s mission to promote fair play, recognition, and participation across all athletic programs.
The partnership, effective immediately, replaces a previous collaboration with Scorebook Live. This shift signifies a commitment to enhancing how high school sports are reported and followed within the state.
Gerry Valerio, senior director of partnerships at MaxPreps, commented on the significance of the partnership, highlighting Mississippi’s dedication to high school sports. “We are excited to partner with the MHSAA to share the accomplishments of its student-athletes both locally and nationally,” he said. Valerio also noted that MaxPreps aims to provide sports information for every team across America, and this partnership marks progress toward that goal.
This collaboration underscores the growing importance of digital platforms in sports management and reporting, particularly at the high school level. By leveraging MaxPreps’ capabilities, the MHSAA is positioning itself to better serve its schools and communities, ensuring that the achievements of student-athletes are recognized and celebrated.
The partnership is expected to facilitate improved communication and engagement among all stakeholders involved in high school sports, making it easier for everyone to stay informed and connected. As the collaboration unfolds, it will be interesting to see how it influences the landscape of high school athletics in Mississippi.
