In a dramatic matchup on October 6, 2023, the Cloudland Highlanders defeated North Greene 58-51 in a high-scoring encounter in Greeneville, securing their place in the Region 1-1A playoff scenario. The Highlanders, initially trailing 14-0, mounted a remarkable comeback characterized by a potent rushing attack and strong performances by key players.

Senior running back Landon Barnette was instrumental in Cloudland’s victory, amassing 160 rushing yards and scoring four touchdowns on just 12 carries. His pivotal 46-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter ignited the Highlanders’ resurgence.
