Terrance Simien, a two-time Grammy Award winner, will perform with the Zydeco Experience on Friday, October 24, 2023, in Dawson, Minnesota. The concert, organized by the Dawson-Boyd Arts Association, is set to begin at 19:00 at the Memorial Auditorium. The performance promises to be an engaging exploration of zydeco music, a genre that blends African and Caribbean rhythms with deep roots in Louisiana culture.
In addition to the evening show, Simien will conduct a special event titled “Creole for Kidz and the History of Zydeco” for local students during the school day.
