Utah Couple Arrested for Allegedly Selling Narcotics at Home

A husband and wife in southern Utah have been arrested for allegedly selling narcotics from their home while their young children were present. Brandon James Tweed, aged 30, and Marjorie Susan Tweed, aged 37, face multiple charges related to drug distribution and child endangerment following an investigation by local authorities.

The couple was taken into custody on July 28, 2023, in Iron County. They have been charged with two counts of second-degree felony distribution of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree felony prohibited dangerous weapon conduct. Additionally, Brandon Tweed is facing four counts of third-degree felony endangerment of a child, while Marjorie Tweed faces six counts of the same charge.

Investigation Reveals Disturbing Circumstances

Agents from the Iron/Garfield/Beaver Narcotics Task Force had been investigating the Tweeds for several months. During this time, they conducted multiple controlled buys, successfully purchasing methamphetamine from the couple. Undercover agents recorded these transactions, during which the couple’s toddlers could be heard in the background, raising serious concerns about the children’s safety.

Agents observed Brandon Tweed leaving the home on the day of his arrest. Upon detaining him, he allegedly admitted to having drugs and firearms in the residence. Meanwhile, Marjorie Tweed briefly left the home, leaving their two toddlers unattended. Upon her return, she was arrested without incident.

During a subsequent search of their home, investigators reportedly discovered needles and drugs within reach of the children. Two firearms were also found in the closet; one was placed on a high shelf, while the other was disassembled and stored on a middle shelf.
