PJ Library Celebrates Summer’s End with Family Fun Event

On August 10, 2023, PJ Library and the Jewish Federation of Broward County hosted a vibrant end-of-summer celebration at the David Posnack JCC Aquatic Center in Davie. Families gathered for an exciting day filled with water games, a splash pad, and pool activities, complemented by giveaways, swag bags, and a variety of cool treats and snacks.

The event not only marked a joyful farewell to summer but also highlighted the federation’s commitment to supporting local families. With recent funding, the Jewish Federation of Broward County has expanded its initiative to provide free PJ Library books to families with children aged 0-12. This expansion allows families to enjoy these resources without facing waitlists or restrictions. As the foundation notes, “now families can have a set of books at home and at Bubbe’s!”

In addition to the summer celebration, PJ Library offers monthly programs aimed at bringing Jewish culture to life. Upcoming events include a Grandparent’s Day celebration on September 7 and a Sukkot program scheduled for October 12.
