Performance Brokerage Services has announced the successful sale of Hawkeye Harley-Davidson, located in Coralville, Iowa, from owners Mike and Pat McGrath to Junge Automotive Group. This transaction, completed on October 30, 2025, marks a significant addition to Junge Automotive Group’s portfolio, which now includes motorcycle dealerships.
Hawkeye Harley-Davidson, acquired by the McGraths in 2013, was the first motorcycle dealership in their business portfolio. The dealership features a spacious 46,283 square-foot facility that includes an expansive showroom, a drive-in service center, and climate-controlled storage. It also houses a dedicated room for the Harley Owners Group (HOG) chapter. Notably, the interior design pays homage to the University of Iowa’s Hawkeyes and Kinnick Stadium, creating a distinctive local atmosphere.
Over the past five years, Performance Brokerage Services has firmly established itself as the leading dealership brokerage firm in North America, advising on the sale of nearly 400 dealerships. George C. Chaconas, Senior Partner, along with Courtney A. Bernhard, Partner in the Harley-Davidson & Powersports Division, acted as the exclusive sell-side advisors for this transaction.
Expansion for Junge Automotive Group
Junge Automotive Group, a family-owned dealership group serving Eastern Iowa, operates locations in Hiawatha and North Liberty. The acquisition of Hawkeye Harley-Davidson enables the group to diversify its offerings by entering the motorcycle market. Following the acquisition, the dealership will be rebranded as Junge Iowa City Harley-Davidson, continuing to operate from its current location.
Performance Brokerage Services has built a reputation for excellence, specializing in buy-sell activity across various dealership categories, including automotive, RV, commercial truck, powersports, and equipment dealerships. With over 30 years of experience and a remarkable 90% closing rate, the firm is recognized for its ethical conduct and integrity.
The firm distinguishes itself by offering complimentary estimates of value without requiring upfront fees or retainers. Clients pay a success fee only upon the successful closure of a transaction. Headquartered in Irvine, California, and supported by 12 regional offices throughout the United States and Canada, Performance Brokerage Services provides clients with national exposure while ensuring local representation.
