Fictional K-Pop Groups Launch Real Lightsticks for Fans
Fans of K-Pop have exciting news as two fictional groups, HUNTR/X and The Saja Boys, prepare to release their own physical lightsticks. This unique merchandise launch, part of a new initiative by Netflix, will allow supporters to purchase lightsticks and various accessories designed specifically for each group.
The lightstick for HUNTR/X is inspired by Rumi’s emblematic “Golden” swing, incorporating traditional Korean elements and symbols. Meanwhile, fans of The Saja Boys can look forward to hexagonal lightsticks adorned with a striking lion motif. Each lightstick set includes the lightstick itself, outer box packaging, a strap, and a cradle. Enthusiasts can further personalize their lightsticks with decorative norigae straps, adding a unique touch to their merchandise.
In addition to the lightsticks, fans can also purchase keyring charms for both groups and an adorable character, Derpy. Priced at ₩49,000 KRW (approximately $35.00 USD) for each basic lightstick set, this offering positions itself as an affordable option compared to existing merchandise from popular K-Pop groups. Current lightsticks on the market, such as those from aespa and ENHYPEN, typically retail for around ₩53,000 KRW (about $37.90 USD).
This initiative marks a significant moment in the K-Pop merchandise landscape, as fans can now celebrate their favorite fictional groups in a tangible way. The combination of affordability and unique designs is likely to appeal to a broad audience, eager to express their fandom in new and creative ways. As the release date approaches, anticipation is building among fans who are keen to add these lightsticks to their collections.
