Speaking to Variety, Bloys addressed ongoing fan speculation regarding a potential spin-off, particularly a night shift edition of the medical procedural drama. The Pitt premiered on January 9, 2025, on HBO Max, currently known as Max. The show quickly gained popularity, leading to a successful first season with 15 episodes and a subsequent renewal for a second season. Its critical acclaim includes multiple awards at the recent Emmys, such as Outstanding Drama Series and individual accolades for lead actors Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa.

In his discussion, Bloys elaborated on the strategic direction behind The Pitt. He emphasized that the initial intention was not to create spin-offs, but rather to develop new shows within a similar successful model. “Listen, when we decided to move forward with The Pitt, the idea was we’re going to try this, and we’re going to develop other shows in this model,” he explained.
