LPL Financial LLC has increased its investment in the Direxion Auspice Broad Commodity Strategy ETF (NYSEARCA: COM) by 15.6%, acquiring an additional 13,062 shares in the first quarter of 2023. According to its most recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission, LPL now holds a total of 96,629 shares, representing approximately 1.23% of the ETF, valued at $2,835,000.
This move reflects a broader trend among institutional investors in the commodity sector. Notably, Envestnet Asset Management Inc. has also significantly increased its position in the Direxion ETF, raising its stake by an impressive 111.3% during the first quarter. Following this acquisition, Envestnet now owns 58,059 shares valued at $1,703,000.
Other firms have been active as well. Cetera Investment Advisers grew its holdings by 4.0% in the fourth quarter of 2022, amassing 20,635 shares valued at $584,000.
