Marion County Sheriff’s Office Responds to 20 Calls in 24 Hours
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a total of 20 calls for service within the last 24 hours, highlighting a range of incidents and community concerns. The calls included requests for extra patrols, reports of reckless driving, and other notable occurrences, reflecting the ongoing efforts of law enforcement in the region.
Among the notable calls, deputies received four requests for extra patrols, three reports of reckless drivers, and one incident involving a commercial fire. Other service calls included a dog-related issue, motorist assistance, and a suspicious person report. The communication center also responded to 126 total calls, which featured 26 emergency 911 calls.
According to the latest data from the Sheriff’s Office, the Marion County Jail is currently holding 22 individuals. In a significant development, one individual was booked into the jail, identified as William David Kisling, aged 44. Kisling faces charges related to a threat of terrorism and possession of drug paraphernalia. It is important to note that, as with any criminal case, a charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
In addition to the serious incidents, deputies also dealt with various community concerns, including an incomplete 911 call, a vehicle inspection, and a livestock-related call. The range of responses demonstrates the Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to maintaining public safety and addressing diverse issues within the community.
