Three Arkansas Residents Claim $300,000 in Lottery Prizes
Three residents from Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley have recently claimed significant prizes in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, totaling a remarkable $300,000. Lottery officials announced this milestone in a news release on October 17, 2023, detailing the winners and their plans for the winnings.
Julie S. from Crawford County was the biggest winner, taking home $200,000 after purchasing a ticket for the $200,000 Platinum Jackpot at Workman’s Travel Center in Ozark. Julie claimed her prize last week and indicated her intention to use a portion of her winnings to assist others, describing herself as a “helper of people.”
In addition to Julie’s win, Joe K. from Benton County secured $50,000 by playing the $50,000 Frenzy, a $20 instant game. He claimed his prize on October 16, 2023, and plans to invest in a new truck with his share of the winnings.
Another winner, Andy G. from Washington County, also claimed $50,000 by playing the 200X the Cash game. He purchased his winning ticket at Tobo’s on Wilson Street in Fayetteville and claimed his prize on the same day as Joe K. Notably, Andy G. has a history of lottery success, having previously won $50,000 from a different lottery game in 2019.
The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery continues to play a significant role in funding scholarships for students across the state. The recent wins highlight the life-changing potential of lottery games for residents, providing them with opportunities to improve their circumstances or contribute to their communities.
