Anna Marie Torok, a cherished figure in the Allentown community, passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 90. Surrounded by her family, she concluded a 12-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, leaving a legacy of love and kindness.

Born on June 30, 1935, in Allentown, Anna Marie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Marx) Bacher. She dedicated herself to her family and faith, serving as a lifelong member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Her marriage to John M. Torok Jr. spanned 57 years until his passing in 2016, and together they made significant contributions to the local community, particularly through their support of the Catholic War Veterans.

A Life of Generosity and Passion

Anna Marie was known for her warm spirit and ability to forge friendships wherever she went. Her generosity extended beyond her family; she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Cooking, gardening, crafting, and painting provided her with joy, yet her family remained her utmost priority.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy A. Molinari, and her husband, Dominic, as well as her son, John Torok III, and his wife, Diane. Anna Marie was a proud grandmother to Anthony, Alissa (and her husband, Brandon), Nicholas (and his wife, Kayla), Rachel, John IV, and Sarah. She also leaves behind five great-grandchildren: Macey, Mackenzie, Madelyn, Adalyn, and Alaina. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Anna Diane Torok.

Final Farewell and Memorial Contributions

The family expresses deep gratitude to Anna Marie’s compassionate caregivers for their dedication and support during her illness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi, located at 1046 W. Cedar Street, Allentown. Rev. Richard C. Brensinger, M. Div., will serve as Celebrant. Family and friends can pay their respects from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow at Laurel Cemetery in Whitehall.

Arrangements are being handled by the Heintzelman–Stephens Funeral Home, P.C., in Allentown. Those wishing to honor Anna Marie’s memory are encouraged to make contributions to the St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund at the church address.
