Sam’s Club Recalls Freeze-Dried Fruit Packs Over Listeria Risk

On July 30, 2025, Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, LLC announced a recall of the popular Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Packs due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The affected products, sold in 15-count boxes, were distributed to Sam’s Club stores across the United States. Fortunately, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
The recall highlights the importance of consumer vigilance regarding food safety. Listeria monocytogenes is a bacterium that can cause severe infections, particularly in vulnerable groups, including young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. While healthy adults may experience mild symptoms such as fever and nausea, the risks are significantly higher for pregnant women, where infections can lead to miscarriages or stillbirths.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Member’s Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Packs affected by the recall bear the UPC code 1 93968 50900 2. These products were distributed between July 1, 2025, and July 25, 2025, in various states, including Alabama, California, Florida, and New York, among others. A comprehensive list of states includes: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Consumers are encouraged to check their pantry for these specific 15-count boxes, which are packaged in foil pouches inside a corrugated box. The lot number and expiration date can be found on the bottom of each case, providing essential information for identifying the affected products.
For those who have purchased the recalled items, it is advisable to discard them immediately. Consumers can also contact Sam’s Club directly for further information on how to proceed with returns or refunds. Keeping informed about product recalls is vital to ensuring food safety and protecting public health.
