A gathering of Peruvian shamans in Lima has forecast significant geopolitical changes for 2026, including the likely removal of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. The ceremony took place on La Herradura beach in the Miraflores district on Monday, where the shamans performed traditional rituals as they made predictions about international conflicts and the future of world leaders.

Dressed in vibrant Andean attire, the group conducted their annual ceremony, a practice that combines ancestral traditions with spiritual beliefs. According to shaman Ana María Simeón, the shamans visualized a scenario in which Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, would play a role in Maduro’s departure from office. “We have asked for Maduro to leave, to retire, and we have visualized that next year this will happen,” she stated.

The predictions for 2026 also included an extension of the ongoing war in Ukraine. The shamans expressed hope for peace in the region, alongside calls for an end to conflicts in the Middle East, particularly between Israel and Gaza. Their forecast extended to natural disasters, including potential earthquakes and adverse climatic events.

Shamanic Tradition and Previous Predictions

This yearly ritual is steeped in tradition, with the shamans consuming hallucinogenic brews made from plants like Ayahuasca and the San Pedro cactus. However, they did successfully predict the death of former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori, who passed away from cancer in September 2024 at the age of 86.
