Grand Sierra Resort to Host Classic Car and Concert Festival
The Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) in Reno, Nevada, has announced it will host the Street Heat Classic Car and Concert Festival from August 5 to August 8, 2026. This four-day event aims to attract classic car enthusiasts and music lovers alike, providing a vibrant atmosphere filled with exhibitions, concerts, and dining options.
Festival Highlights and Attractions
Scheduled during a week when many classic car fans typically visit Reno, the Street Heat festival will enhance the experience for attendees. The festival features a multi-format car show, showcasing vintage automobiles from the 1950s to the 1980s. Participants can look forward to classic car registrations, exhibitions, and a cruise-style parade. Additionally, awards presentations and the resort’s signature Cherry Show & Shine will allow both enthusiasts and spectators to appreciate beautifully restored vehicles throughout the property.
“Street Heat is designed around what our guests have asked for — a classic car experience paired with great entertainment and an easy, all-in-one resort weekend,” said Christopher Abraham, chief marketing officer at GSR. “Whether visitors are spending the weekend at GSR or exploring multiple events across Reno, we’re proud to offer an experience that’s welcoming, well-produced and built for car fans of all ages.”
In addition to the automotive displays, attendees can enjoy free nightly outdoor concerts featuring classic rock and R&B acts. These performances will create a lively soundtrack for the summer evenings, with specific acts to be announced closer to the event date.
Vendor Marketplace and Special Offers
The festival will also include an automotive-themed vendor marketplace, offering a variety of products related to classic cars. Food and beverage vendors will be present, providing a diverse array of dining options for guests throughout the event.
As part of the festival, GSR will offer special hotel rates and packages for those attending the Street Heat festival. This initiative is part of the resort’s long-standing tradition of hosting classic car experiences and enhancing the overall guest experience.
