Trump Administration Launches Inquiry into ‘No Kings’ Protests

The Trump administration has initiated an investigation into the funding sources behind the recent “No Kings” protests, which have been organized against President Donald Trump. In remarks made during a flight on Air Force One from Florida to Washington D.C. on October 1, 2023, Trump suggested that the protests may have been financed by billionaire philanthropist George Soros and other progressive supporters.
Soros, known for his substantial financial contributions to various progressive causes worldwide, has become a controversial figure among conservative circles. Trump described Soros and those he termed “radical left lunatics” as potential backers of the protests, which he labeled as “very small” and “ineffective.”
While addressing reporters, Trump criticized the participants, stating, “I looked at the people; they’re not representative of this country.” He went on to express his disdain for the signs displayed during the protests, speculating that they were funded by Soros and his associates.
In addition to his remarks about the protests, Trump has also classified the far-left group Antifa as a terrorist organization. These comments reflect the heightened tensions surrounding his administration’s perception of leftist movements in the United States.
Trump emphasized his dedication to his role, asserting, “And by the way, I’m not a king. I’m not a king. I work my ass off to make our country great.” His comments come at a time when the political landscape is fraught with division, and protests have become a common form of expression among various factions in society.
As this story continues to develop, further updates will shed light on the findings of the investigation and the ongoing reactions to the “No Kings” protests.
