Tabb High School Celebrates 100th Consecutive Field Hockey Win

Tabb High School’s field hockey team achieved a remarkable milestone by securing their 100th consecutive victory with a commanding 13-0 win against Smithfield. This achievement places Tabb among a select group of programs within the Virginia High School League (VHSL) known for such a streak. Under the guidance of coach Wendy Wilson, the team is now striving for its 12th state championship.

The match against Smithfield showcased Tabb’s dominance on the field. The Tigers overwhelmed the Packers, further establishing their reputation as a powerhouse in the sport. In other high school sports news, the football field saw several compelling matchups. In the Bay Rivers District, Warhill defeated York with a score of 35-0, improving their record to 3-2. This match marked Warhill’s second shutout against York in their history of 18 meetings.

In the Peninsula District, Bethel triumphed over Kecoughtan with a staggering score of 53-0. Amari Pryear, a recruit for Hampton University, played a pivotal role in this victory, scoring four touchdowns. The Bruins, now with a record of 3-2, achieved a record high against Kecoughtan, with never before seen points in their previous 57 encounters.
