Philadelphia Gang Hitman Tyvine Jones Arrested for Triple Murder
A 25-year-old man, identified as Tyvine Jones, has been arrested in connection with three murders linked to gang activity in Philadelphia. The arrest occurred on Wednesday at an apartment complex in Delaware County, following an anonymous tip that led law enforcement to his location.
Jones, who is alleged to be a hitman for the Blumberg gang, is accused of involvement in the murders of three individuals aged 16, 20, and 23 during separate incidents between August 2020 and September 2022. According to the US Marshals Service, all victims died from gunshot wounds. The details surrounding the specific circumstances of the murders have not been disclosed by authorities.
Eric Gartner, US Marshal for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, emphasized the seriousness of Jones’s alleged crimes. “Tyvine Jones was one of Philadelphia’s ‘Most Wanted’ for his role in the murder of three individuals,” he stated in a press release. He further noted that Jones’s “disregard for human life poses a continued threat to the public and he should be considered armed and highly dangerous.”
The arrest was executed by a task force that included US Marshals, Pennsylvania Attorney General agents, and Philadelphia homicide detectives. They surrounded the Stratford Court Apartments where Jones was believed to be hiding. He was taken into custody without incident and subsequently transported to the Philadelphia Homicide Detective Division for processing.
Gartner reiterated the commitment of law enforcement agencies to pursue violent fugitives. “Together with our Philadelphia Police Department and other partners, our commitment to the citizens of Philadelphia remains steadfast: the relentless pursuit of violent fugitives such as Tyvine Jones, whose unrestrained existence serves only to diminish our great city,” he added.
Jones’s arrest underscores the ongoing efforts of the US Marshals Service in addressing gang violence and ensuring public safety. The agency remains dedicated to tracking down individuals who pose a significant risk to communities across the nation.
