The Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe is set to celebrate its 53rd annual Cultural Days and Pow-Wow from October 17 to 19, 2025. The event will take place at Tama Tribal Town, located at 107 Tall Pine Drive in Whigham, attracting participants and visitors from across the region.

This year’s pow-wow promises a vibrant lineup of activities, including stomp dancing, intertribal dancing, and a competitive dance event with prize money. The rhythm of the drums will be provided by Medicine Lake, a renowned group from Cherokee, North Carolina. Additionally, the head dancers for the event will be Kim Wildcat and Skylar Bachenbau, both also representing Cherokee, North Carolina.

The cultural festivities will feature a Muskogee Living History Village, offering attendees a glimpse into the traditions and heritage of the Muskogee people. A gospel sing is scheduled for Friday night, adding a spiritual dimension to the gathering. Various vendors will be present, showcasing crafts and foods that reflect the rich cultural landscape of the tribe.
