Hillsborough County Launches Holiday Food Pantry Events

As the festive season approaches, Hillsborough County is taking significant steps to address food insecurity among its residents. The county’s Healthy Living Program has partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay to host a series of food pantry events aimed at ensuring that families can enjoy holiday meals without the stress of limited resources.

These events will provide essential food packages filled with fresh produce, meats, and pantry staples. They are scheduled to occur monthly, with additional distributions planned for November and December to cater to the heightened need during this time. Anyone aged 18 or older, regardless of their income level, is eligible to participate, underscoring the program’s commitment to making nutritious food accessible to all community members.

Upcoming Events and Services

The first of these food distribution events will take place next Thursday at the Lee Davis Healthy Living Center, followed by additional events on Friday at both the Plant City and SouthShore Healthy Living Centers.
