Firefighters Contain Apartment Blaze in Chilliwack on Friday Evening

The Chilliwack Fire Department responded to a fire in an apartment building on Friday evening, following reports of smoke emerging from a ground-floor unit. Fire crews arrived at the scene, located on Mary Street near Brett Avenue, shortly after 7 p.m. to address the situation.

Firefighters quickly initiated an offensive interior attack, effectively containing the fire to its area of origin. According to the fire department, a primary search confirmed that all occupants had evacuated safely, preventing any injuries. A total of 17 firefighters from two different fire halls participated in the operation.
