Fire in Rome Claims One Life, Leaves Another Injured

The incident occurred early on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at approximately 1:09 a.m. at a residence located at 8434 Dawn Drive, according to a statement from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find a man suffering from burns on multiple areas of his body, including his hands and face. He was promptly transported to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment. Tragically, after extinguishing the fire, authorities discovered another individual deceased inside the home.
