Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of actor Charlie Sheen, has initiated legal proceedings claiming that Sheen owes her approximately $15 million in unpaid child support. According to court documents filed on December 4, 2023, Mueller alleges that Sheen has consistently failed to meet the financial obligations set forth during their divorce, which mandated a payment of $660,000 annually for their children.

Mueller’s filing indicates that she believes Sheen’s total arrears amount to $8,967,600 for the period spanning from March 1, 2011, to December 2, 2025. In addition to the principal amount, she claims that $6.4 million in interest has accrued, bringing the total owed to $15,386,000. She is requesting that the court compel Sheen to pay the outstanding amount within 30 days of a ruling, along with $25,000 to cover her legal fees related to this motion.

The court documents outline a history of partial payments from Sheen. Mueller asserts that he compensated her with $295,000 in 2011, despite being obligated to pay $550,000. Furthermore, she claims that Sheen did not make any child support payments between 2012 and 2015, despite the annual requirement. Payments made in subsequent years include $96,000 in 2016, $228,366 in 2017, $113,000 in 2018, and no payments at all in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Sheen made minor payments of $20,000 in 2023, $30,000 in 2024, and $39,000 in 2025, yet he still owes the considerable annual sum.

Mueller provided a court declaration stating, “Charlie made full child support payments through June 2011. Beginning in July 2011, he made either partial payments or failed to make any payments.” This statement highlights the ongoing nature of the financial dispute.

In a separate legal matter, Sheen filed documents in 2024 indicating that he had reached a custody agreement with Mueller regarding their children. Under this arrangement, Sheen would receive sole custody if Mueller relapsed, reflecting the complexities of their co-parenting relationship.

Despite the legal challenges, Mueller previously spoke positively about Sheen in his Netflix documentary released in September 2023. She discussed their tumultuous marriage and acknowledged Sheen’s support during her struggles with substance abuse, stating, “Charlie really stepped up when my stuff was going dark. It was really dark. He had all the reason not to be there for me.”

As this legal battle unfolds, the financial and emotional implications for both parties remain significant, with Mueller seeking a resolution that would hold Sheen accountable for his alleged financial obligations.
