The announcement, made via a press release on October 9, 2023, confirmed that the streaming and studios division will be named Warner Bros., led by current President and CEO David Zaslav. The second entity, Discovery Global, will be headed by Gunnar Wiedenfels, who presently serves as the CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery. This corporate restructuring is set to take effect in mid-2026.
