The first event, titled Battle for Recovery, takes place at the Superior Inn and Conference Centre on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This gathering will feature a range of speakers sharing their personal experiences and insights related to recovery and wellness. Tickets are priced at $50, which covers a light breakfast and a catered lunch, while children are admitted free of charge. Interested individuals can purchase tickets, seek sponsorship opportunities, or reserve community booths online.

Later that evening, DJ Rogue will perform at the Foundry starting at 10 p.m. Entry to the performance is set at $5, and the event is restricted to those aged 19 and older. This offers a vibrant nightlife option for adults looking to unwind after a day of inspiring discussions.

Hymers Fall Fair Celebrates Local Community

On Sunday, the Hymers Fall Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 47 Hymers Fair Drive. This year’s theme, ‘Tailgates and Tractors’, promises an engaging experience for attendees of all ages. Admission is $10 for individuals aged 13 and older, while seniors aged 60 and over, and children aged 6 to 12 can enter for $5. Notably, children can also gain entry for just $1 with the donation of either a zucchini or sunflower. For those needing transportation, a round-trip bus service is available for $5 per person or $20 for families of five or more, with the service catering to children aged 16 and younger.

These events highlight the community spirit in Thunder Bay, showcasing local resilience and creativity.
