Stellar Performances Shine at 2025 NFR Las Vegas Go-Round
The 2025 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) unfolded at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on December 9, featuring thrilling performances across multiple events. Athletes showcased their skills in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, and bull riding, with impressive scores and significant prize money at stake.
Bareback Riding Results
In the sixth go-round of bareback riding, Kade Sonnier topped the leaderboard with a score of 88 points on Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Land Of Fancy, earning a prize of $36,668. Following closely was Cooper Cooke, who scored 87.75 points for $28,980, and Wacey Schalla, securing 87.25 points and $21,882. A tie for fifth place emerged between Cole Franks and Sam Petersen, both achieving 85.5 points for $12,420 each.
The average leaders for the event also included strong performances from Wacey Schalla, who leads with a total of 521.5 points on six head. Sam Petersen and Rocker Steiner follow closely behind with 514 and 511 points, respectively.
Steer Wrestling Highlights
In the steer wrestling competition, Ty Erickson clinched the fastest time with 3.5 seconds, earning another $36,668. Stetson Jorgensen followed with a time of 3.8 seconds, receiving $28,980. The excitement continued with Jesse Brown, who completed the round in 4.3 seconds for $21,882. The average leaders highlighted Tucker Allen’s exceptional performance, clocking a total of 28.5 seconds on six head.
Team Roping and Saddle Bronc Riding
In team roping, the duo of Tanner Tomlinson and Travis Graves dominated with a time of 3.4 seconds, each earning $36,668. Following closely were Clint Summers and Jade Corkill, who recorded a time of 3.5 seconds for $28,980. Average leaders included the team of Clint Summers and Jade Corkill, accumulating a total of 25.5 seconds on six head.
In the saddle bronc riding, Statler Wright soared to first place with an impressive 90 points on Wayne Vold Rodeo’s Renegade, earning $36,668. Close contenders included Kade Bruno with 89 points and Ben Andersen and Ryder Wright, who both scored 88.25 points.
Other Event Highlights
The tie-down roping event saw Joel Harris leading the round with a time of 6.8 seconds, securing $36,668. In barrel racing, Kassie Mowry posted a winning time of 13.42 seconds, also earning $36,668. Meanwhile, the bull riding results featured Stetson Dell Wright at the top with 88.5 points on Stockyards ProRodeo’s Amasestays.Com Insurrection.
The all-around standings reflect Stetson Dell Wright leading with total earnings of $658,884, followed by Wacey Schalla with $570,014. These outstanding performances highlight the intense competition and skill present at this year’s NFR.
As the rodeo continues, fans and competitors alike are eager to see how the remaining go-rounds will unfold in this prestigious event. All eyes will be on the top athletes as they strive for victory in the final rounds of the 2025 NFR.
