NJPW World Tag League 2025: Night Two Delivers Thrilling Matches
The second night of the NJPW World Tag League 2025 showcased an exhilarating series of matches in Fujisawa City on November 22, 2025. Four round-robin bouts took place in the B Block, revealing the fierce competition among the teams vying for supremacy in this prestigious tournament.
In the opening match, the team of Lance Archer and Alex Zayne, known as Monstersauce, faced off against SANADA and Ren Narita. Despite the interference tactics commonly associated with the House of Torture, Archer and Zayne managed to secure a victory. The match was marked by a series of referee distractions and whisky sprays, but the duo ultimately executed their finishing move, the Blackout Sauce, on SANADA, clinching the win.
The second bout featured TMDK, represented by Zack Sabre Jr. and Ryohei Oiwa, who triumphed over the United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and Callum Newman. This match kept fans on the edge of their seats as it showcased a back-and-forth dynamic. TMDK’s strategic double team, a combination of a big boot followed by a German suplex, sealed their victory.
The semi-main event saw Yuya Uemura and Shota Umino take on El Phantasmo and Hiroshi Tanahashi. Uemura and Umino emerged victorious after executing a clothesline into a Dragon Suplex on Phantasmo, followed by Umino’s signature move, The Second Chapter. Following the match, a moment of respect unfolded as three of the four competitors knelt in acknowledgment. Notably, Uemura chose to kneel without bowing his head, a detail highlighted by commentator Chris Charlton.
The main event featured a surprising twist as David Finlay and Hiromu Takahashi defeated the IWGP Tag Team Champions, Yuto-Ice and OSKAR. The champions appeared to have the upper hand when Ice landed a significant boot on Takahashi. However, Finlay had executed a blind tag moments earlier, allowing him to roll up an unsuspecting Ice for the three-count. Following the match, Finlay delivered a lighthearted promo, playfully interviewing a dazed Takahashi in the center of the ring.
The results from the B Block matches on night two are as follows:
– David Finlay & Hiromu Takahashi defeated Knockout Brothers (OSKAR & Yuto-Ice)
– Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura defeated El Phantasmo & Hiroshi Tanahashi
– TMDK (Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.) defeated United Empire (Callum Newman & Great-O-Khan)
– Monstersauce (Alex Zayne & Lance Archer) faced Ren Narita & SANADA
As the tournament progresses, the standings in the B Block reflect the intense competition:
– Lance Archer & Alex Zayne (1-0): 2 points
– Zack Sabre Jr. & Ryohei Oiwa (1-0): 2 points
– Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura (1-0): 2 points
