John Cena Surprises Fans at Bayley’s Lodestone 2025 Camp Ahead of Farewell
Professional wrestling icon John Cena made a surprise appearance at Bayley’s Lodestone 2025 women’s wrestling camp in Orlando on December 6, just days before his highly anticipated final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event (SNME) on December 13, 2025. Cena’s visit not only delighted the participants but also underscored his commitment to mentoring the next generation of wrestlers.
The Lodestone 2025 camp, which ran from December 4 to December 6, focused on advancing the skills of independent women wrestlers. With over 20 participants, the camp featured guest coaches including Charlotte Flair, Natalya, and Lyra Valkyria. On the final day, Cena arrived unannounced and dedicated nearly eight hours to watching matches and providing encouragement. His unexpected presence left a significant impact on the attendees, especially Bayley, who expressed her gratitude through a heartfelt message on social media.
In her post, Bayley shared, “Thank you @JohnCena. He watched 10 women’s matches and spent 8 hours with us. No conversation or piece of advice could have impacted me the way he did.” Cena reciprocated her sentiment with a moving tribute, acknowledging Bayley’s efforts in fostering a collaborative environment. He stated, “You have created something that does exactly that. A collaborative environment with the purpose of making everyone in the room better than they were yesterday.”
Cena’s legacy within WWE extends beyond his impressive record of 17 world championships. He has consistently focused on elevating others within the industry. His recent actions at Lodestone 2025 serve as a reminder of his dedication to mentoring young talent, just days before he steps into the ring for what will be his final match against Gunther.
As Cena prepares for his farewell at SNME, he has reflected on his storied career during an appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast. He identified Shawn Michaels and Seth Rollins as his top two opponents, noting the unique ability of both to elevate any match. Cena praised Michaels for his exceptional talent in making opponents look credible, likening his skills to that of making even inanimate objects appear formidable in the ring.
Cena’s rivalry with Michaels has produced some unforgettable moments in WWE history, including their main event match at WrestleMania 23 and a legendary one-hour match on Raw in London. As for Rollins, Cena highlighted their remarkable chemistry, which has led to over 60 singles matches together, with their clash at SummerSlam 2015 considered one of their finest performances.
As fans eagerly await Cena’s final appearance at SNME, his reflections on his career and his commitment to nurturing emerging talent leave an enduring legacy in professional wrestling. The upcoming match not only marks the end of an era but also highlights the importance of mentorship and the cultivation of future stars in the industry.
