Brody King has urged his tag team partner Bandido to redirect his focus towards the upcoming Ring of Honor (ROH) World Title defense after their recent defeat at AEW Full Gear 2025. The duo, known as Brodido, faced off against FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) but ultimately lost the AEW World Tag Team Championships in a match that concluded with FTR executing their signature move, the Shatter Machine, on Bandido.

Following the match, Bandido expressed his disappointment in a backstage interview with Rene Paquette on AEW’s Collision. He acknowledged the loss was partially due to his performance and conveyed his feelings of letting down his “brother.” “I feel a little sad because we lost the titles last Saturday, and that’s because of me. But I feel very proud. Brodido has meant too much to me. He is my real brother,” Bandido stated. He vowed to improve his performance in future matches, promising that he would not allow such a setback to happen again.

In response, Brody King reassured Bandido of their bond and the success they have achieved together. He emphasized the importance of maintaining focus on their individual goals, particularly highlighting Bandido’s upcoming ROH World Title defense at Final Battle. “You are still a champion, and you have Final Battle. We both know what you have to do to prepare for that,” King said. He encouraged Bandido to embrace his role as a fighting champion and to approach the match with pride.

Bandido’s title defense is set for December 5, 2025, in a Survival of the Fittest match against formidable opponents including Blake Christian, The Beast Mortos, Sammy Guevara, Komander, and Hechicero. The event will take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, and promises to be a competitive showcase for the ROH title.

As the former AEW World Tag Team Champions, Brody King and Bandido remain committed to pursuing tag team success in AEW. They aim to continue their journey in the promotion while also supporting one another in their individual endeavors. The duo’s resilience and teamwork will be pivotal as they navigate the challenges ahead in the wrestling world.
