The Jacksonville Sea & Sky Air Show is set to make a spectacular return on October 23-24, 2027, featuring an anticipated performance by the renowned U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The announcement came from the City of Jacksonville’s Office of Sports & Entertainment, in collaboration with Naval Station Mayport and the City of Jacksonville Beach. This year’s air show will showcase a blend of military and civilian flight performances along the picturesque coastline of Jacksonville Beach.

The 2027 air show was included in the national air show calendar released at the International Council of Air Shows in Las Vegas, indicating a return to the region’s vibrant aviation celebrations. Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan expressed enthusiasm about the event, stating, “We are excited to bring families, neighbors, aviation enthusiasts and visitors together once again to celebrate community, military partnership and the excitement of flight.”

Deegan further emphasized the significance of the Blue Angels’ return, highlighting their role in showcasing service, skill, and teamwork. “It is a privilege to have the Blue Angels and all military air performers bring the thrill and magic of flight back to our proud military community,” she added.

The event promises to be a family-friendly experience, featuring award-winning civilian and military aerobatic performances over the Atlantic Ocean. Alongside the aerial displays, there will be various on-site activities for attendees to enjoy.

Jacksonville Beach Mayor Chris Hoffman expressed gratitude towards the city for their collaboration in bringing the show back to the area. “I want to thank the City of Jacksonville for working so hard with us to bring the 2027 Sea & Sky Show — along with the Blue Angels — back to Jacksonville Beach,” Hoffman stated.

Alex Alston, executive director of the City of Jacksonville Office of Sports & Entertainment, conveyed excitement for the upcoming event, emphasizing the spirit of community that it fosters. “We look forward to welcoming visitors for a weekend of excitement and community spirit,” Alston remarked.

Details regarding the full lineup of performers, parking arrangements, shuttle services, and road closures will be released as the event date approaches. This air show not only celebrates aviation but also reinforces the community’s ties with military excellence and the joy of flight.

As the date draws nearer, anticipation is building in Jacksonville Beach for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of aerial displays and community engagement.
