Trump Responds to Scott Adams’ Call for Cancer Treatment Support

President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to assist Scott Adams, the creator of the comic strip “Dilbert,” following Adams’ urgent plea for help regarding his cancer treatment. In a post shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump acknowledged Adams’ request with a simple, emphatic response: “On it!”

Adams, who revealed earlier this year that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones, publicly reached out to Trump. In a message posted on social media, he stated, “On Monday, I will ask President Trump, via X, to help save my life. He offered to help me if I needed it. I need it.”

The cartoonist indicated that he was approved for a new Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drug named Pluvicto. However, he claimed that his healthcare provider, Kaiser Permanente, has been unresponsive in scheduling the necessary intravenous administration of the drug. Adams described his condition as deteriorating, adding, “I am declining fast.” He requested Trump’s assistance in getting Kaiser to expedite his treatment, stating that receiving the drug would provide him with a “fighting chance to stick around on this planet a little bit longer.” He emphasized that while Pluvicto is not a cure, it has shown promising results for many patients.

Government Response and Treatment Update

In response to Adams’ request, Robert F. Kennedy, Secretary of Health and Human Services, reached out directly to offer support. Kennedy wrote, “Scott. How do I reach you? The President wants to help.”

Kaiser Permanente later released a statement indicating that Adams’ oncology team is actively working on the next steps in his treatment plan. “Mr. Adams’ oncology team is working closely with him on the next steps in his cancer care, which are already underway,” the statement clarified. The organization noted that since the FDA approved Pluvicto three years ago, its specialists have treated over 150 patients with the drug in Northern California alone, demonstrating their expertise in both the medication and the disease.

Adams, now 67, has been a controversial figure in the past, often making headlines for statements he claims have been taken out of context. Throughout his career, he has openly supported Trump, and he expressed sympathy for the former president when both were diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Shortly after Biden’s diagnosis, Adams remarked, “I’d like to extend my respect and compassion and sympathy for the ex-president and his family, because they’re going to be going through an especially tough time.”

As the situation develops, both Adams and Trump appear to be navigating the complexities of public health and personal challenges in a very public arena. The outcome of Adams’ treatment and the response from both Trump and Kaiser Permanente remains closely watched by the public.
