Dig Inn Expands Presence with Fifth Location in Center City, Philadelphia
Dig Inn, the fast-casual brand celebrated for its scratch-made meals, is preparing to open its fifth location in the Philadelphia area. The new spot will be situated in Center City at 112 S. 11th Street, according to a member of the eatery’s development team who spoke to What Now Philadelphia.
Maira Young, part of the development team, expressed enthusiasm about expanding into the city. “We really just got our footing in the suburbs and the locations are doing really well. We’re all about serving the community and we want to focus on the city. I think it’s really important for us to be there, and being right across from the hospital, I think it’s a great opportunity,” she noted.
Currently, Dig Inn operates locations in Ardmore, Jenkintown, Rittenhouse, and University City. Young indicated that the new Center City location will likely mirror the Rittenhouse establishment. “It’s one of those locations that are really turn and burn. We’re really heavy on pick-up and delivery for those locations,” she added.
The menu at Dig Inn features chef-driven seasonal bowls and salads that include proteins and sides such as chili lime Brussels sprouts, homestyle mashed potatoes, and charred grilled broccoli with lemon. Additionally, the restaurant offers Chef’s Specials, including the popular hot honey chicken bowl and spicy salmon bowl. Young highlighted the appeal of their dishes, stating, “The hot honey chicken bowl is definitely our most popular bowl. We also have our Jasper Hill mac and cheese, which we source from Jasper Hill Farms in New York. We’re also doing our broccoli and carrots in it. It’s like you feel healthy eating the vegetables when you’re also eating mac and cheese. It’s pretty fun.”
In addition to its culinary offerings, Dig Inn emphasizes its commitment to community engagement. The eatery partners with local organizations to donate any leftover food at the end of each day. Young mentioned a special initiative for the grand opening, stating, “For every grand opening, we will partner with a local food pantry or donation partner. We donate our grand opening sales to that organization. It’s a great way to connect with the community.”
Although Dig Inn has not yet announced an official opening date, the team is aiming for a launch in March 2026. For further updates, patrons can visit the eatery’s website or follow its Instagram account.
