Coler Mountain Bike Preserve is set to mark its fifth anniversary on October 17, 2023, with a celebratory event at the Coler Homestead in Northwest Arkansas. Managed by the Peel Compton Foundation, this outdoor destination has transformed from a donated family homestead into a hub for adventure, community, and nature appreciation.

The anniversary event, running from 09:00 to 14:00, invites locals and visitors to reflect on the preserve’s journey. Attendees will have the opportunity to share personal experiences, meet the team behind Coler, and learn about the evolution of this beloved site.

Spanning over 300 acres, Coler Mountain Bike Preserve features more than 20 miles of trails catering to all skill levels. Importantly, it connects directly to an extensive network of over 250 miles of natural-surface trails throughout Northwest Arkansas. The preserve also boasts a well-equipped campground, which includes elevated tent platforms, heated showers, and a bike wash station, all conveniently located just minutes from downtown Bentonville.

In recognition of its impact on local tourism and community engagement, Coler recently received the Arkansas Tourism Attraction of the Year award during the 51st Henry Awards. This accolade underscores the preserve’s significance as a recreational resource and its alignment with the Peel Compton Foundation‘s mission to connect communities through nature, education, recreation, and preservation.

The anniversary celebration will feature storytelling panels, community sharing stations, and guided trail explorations. These activities aim to engage attendees and highlight the communal spirit that has been instrumental in Coler’s success over the past five years.

As the event approaches, excitement builds around the opportunity to celebrate not just a milestone, but the vibrant community that has grown around Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. The ongoing support from visitors and locals alike emphasizes the preserve’s role as a cherished outdoor sanctuary in the region.
