Dupont Lions Club Fundraiser

The Dupont Lions Club is also actively engaging the community with its fundraising initiative. Through the Save a Tape Program offered by Redner’s Warehouse Markets, the Lions Club can earn a 1% cash back on total receipts collected. Community members are encouraged to drop off their Redner’s grocery receipts at the municipal building during regular office hours. For more information, contact Dupont Lion David at 570-457-5345. Additionally, new members are welcome; those interested can reach out to membership chairperson Chris Kalmanowicz at 570-603-0660.

Duryea Lions Club Donations

Meanwhile, the Duryea Lions Club is making strides to fund various community projects. A recent mailer has called for donations to support the maintenance of colorful LED Christmas lights and decorations on both Main Streets, as well as at the intersection of Main and Stevenson Streets. Funds raised will also support youth programs, food certificates for churches aiding those in need, and numerous other charitable initiatives. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 2085, Duryea, PA 18642, for those who did not receive a mailer.

As Greater Pittston celebrates this holiday season, these community events and initiatives highlight the spirit of togetherness and support that defines the area.
