Resident Doctors in England Launch Five-Day Strike Over Pay

Up to 50,000 resident doctors in England began a five-day strike at 07:00 on July 25, 2023. This strike is part of a growing movement among medical professionals demanding better pay and working conditions. It is set to continue until 07:00 on July 30, 2023, significantly impacting the National Health Service (NHS).
The strike follows a series of disputes between the doctors and the government over salary increases. The doctors argue that their pay has not kept pace with inflation and the rising cost of living. They are calling for a pay rise of £2.5 billion to address these concerns.
