Northern Shenandoah Valley NAMI Launches Support Groups for Adults

The Northern Shenandoah Valley National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has initiated a series of support group meetings for adults dealing with mental health conditions and/or addiction, welcoming individuals regardless of their specific diagnosis. These gatherings aim to provide a safe space for sharing experiences and fostering community support.
Meeting Schedule and Locations
NAMI’s support groups are set to meet regularly across various locations in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. The schedule is as follows:
– **Mondays**: Weekly from 18:30 to 20:00 at the Our Health Campus, located in the Shockey Building with a black awning at 301 N. Cameron St., Winchester.
– **Tuesdays**: On the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, gatherings are held from 18:30 to 20:00 at the Stephens City Mennonite Church, found at 5540 Valley Pike.
– **Wednesdays**: The second and fourth Wednesday meetings occur from 16:00 to 17:30 at the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation office, situated on the lower level at 1195 Hisey Ave., Woodstock.
– **Thursdays**: These meetings take place on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 18:30 to 20:00 at Calvary Episcopal Church, located at 11 W. 2nd St., Front Royal.
– **Saturdays**: A virtual support group is available from 13:00 to 14:30. Interested participants can register at https://tinyurl.com/5aak9py6.
– **Sundays**: On the first Sunday of each month, a meeting is held from 14:30 to 16:00 at 1444 Welltown Road, Cleark Brook.
