Emergency Medicine Experts Gather in Salt Lake City for ACEP25
The 2025 American College of Emergency Physicians Scientific Assembly, commonly known as ACEP25, is set to take place in downtown Salt Lake City from September 7 to 10, 2025. This major event is expected to draw over 700 emergency medicine physicians, nurses, trauma leaders, and researchers from around the globe. As the world’s largest conference dedicated to emergency medicine, ACEP25 will showcase the latest advancements and innovations in the field of emergency medicine and trauma care.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with 10 research studies conducted by emergency medicine clinicians, nurses, and scientists affiliated with Intermountain Health. The conference will also highlight Utah’s leading emergency medicine services and programs that are recognized nationally for their excellence.
Dr. Troy Madsen, an emergency physician at Intermountain Park City Hospital and a key figure in organizing the conference, emphasized the significance of this gathering. “It’s a terrific and unique opportunity to bring the nation’s leading emergency medicine providers to Salt Lake City to highlight the incredible work and innovation that’s happening in our own community,” he noted.
Focus on Advancements and Community Impact
The conference aims to foster discussions around the latest innovations in emergency care and their implications for patient outcomes and community health. Dr. Madsen explained that participants will explore how to optimize the use of emergency department services and identify which types of care can be effectively delivered in alternative settings, such as clinics and urgent care facilities.
This gathering not only provides a platform for medical professionals to share knowledge but also serves as a reminder of the critical role that emergency medicine plays in healthcare systems. With a focus on collaboration and education, ACEP25 will contribute to the ongoing improvement of emergency care practices, ultimately benefiting patients and communities alike.
As the event approaches, Salt Lake City prepares to welcome a diverse group of healthcare experts dedicated to enhancing emergency medicine standards. The outcomes of this significant assembly may influence best practices and innovations in emergency care both locally and internationally.
