Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) has partnered with Rouses Markets for a fundraising campaign to honor veterans this Veterans Day. From October 27 to November 11, customers at all Rouses Markets locations can donate $1 at checkout, directly supporting PVA’s mission to aid disabled veterans.

The initiative, which coincides with Veterans Day, aims to enhance the lives of veterans who have sacrificed for their country. According to Carl Blake, CEO of PVA, community support plays a vital role in reaching more veterans. He stated, “When Rouses Markets and its customers rally behind PVA’s mission, we’re reminded of the power of community. Together, we can reach even more veterans along the Gulf Coast, helping them discover new strength, new purpose, and new possibilities.”

The funds raised will support various PVA programs, which help veterans lead independent lives after sustaining injuries or illnesses. This includes ensuring they receive the necessary benefits and health care. Donny Rouse, CEO of Rouses Markets, expressed pride in the collaboration, emphasizing the company’s commitment to supporting local veterans. “This campaign is our way of giving back to the men and women who have given so much in service to our country,” he noted.

With over one million customers visiting its 66 locations across Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, Rouses Markets employs around 7,000 team members. The grocery chain is known for its community involvement and has received accolades for its commitment to local charities and events.
