Plácido Domingo Takes Helm as Artistic Director of Puccini Academy

Plácido Domingo has been appointed the new Artistic Director of the Puccini Academy in Torre del Lago. This initiative, backed by the Puccini Festival Foundation, aims to cultivate young opera singers through a focused program that emphasizes high-level artistic specialization, particularly in the context of the Puccini repertoire and stage performance.

This decision was put forward by Fabrizio Miracolo, President of the Puccini Festival Foundation, and subsequently ratified by the Board of Directors of the Tuscan institution.
