Actor Mickey Rourke is facing an eviction crisis after accumulating approximately $60,000 in unpaid rent. To combat this situation, he has initiated a GoFundMe campaign aiming to raise $100,000 to cover his outstanding debts and housing-related expenses. As of Monday morning, the campaign has garnered $55,354 in donations.

Details of the Eviction Notice

At the age of 73, Rourke received an eviction notice in December, demanding payment of $59,100 in back rent or vacating his Los Angeles residence within three days. The notice was both posted on the property and mailed to him, as he was not present to receive it at the time.

According to Zillow, Rourke’s home is a three-bedroom, 1,600-square-foot property. He signed a lease for the residence in March 2025, initially agreeing to a monthly rent of $5,200, which later increased to $7,000.

GoFundMe Campaign and Support

The fundraiser, titled “Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home,” was organized by Liya-Joelle Jones, a member of Rourke’s management team. The campaign went live on Sunday, detailing Rourke’s urgent financial difficulties and stating, “Life doesn’t always move in a straight line, and despite everything Mickey has given through his work and his life, he is now dealing with a challenging financial moment that has put his housing at risk.”

“The goal is to give Mickey some stability and peace of mind during a stressful time so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet,” the campaign description reads.

The GoFundMe page emphasizes that even small contributions can significantly impact Rourke’s situation, urging supporters to share the campaign if they cannot donate. Jones expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, stating, “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help.”
