K-Pop Fictional Groups Launch Unique Lightsticks for Fans
Fans of fictional K-Pop groups will soon have something to celebrate. HUNTR/X and The Saja Boys are set to become the first imaginary K-Pop acts to release their own real, physical lightsticks. This launch is part of a new merchandise initiative by Netflix, allowing enthusiasts to purchase not only lightsticks but also various accessories associated with both groups.
The lightstick for HUNTR/X has been designed to reflect the iconic “Golden” swing, incorporating traditional Korean elements and symbols. In contrast, fans of The Saja Boys will find their hexagonal lightsticks adorned with a lion motif, making them distinct in style and representation. Each lightstick set includes the lightstick itself, a decorative outer box, a strap, and a cradle.
Moreover, fans can personalize their lightsticks with norigae straps, traditional Korean ornaments, enhancing their individual expressions. To further engage fans, keyring charms featuring each group and a character named Derpy will also be available.
At a price of ₩49,000 KRW (approximately $35.00 USD) for each basic lightstick set, this offering is positioned as an affordable option within the K-Pop merchandise market. In comparison, lightsticks from more established groups like aespa and ENHYPEN typically retail for around ₩53,000 KRW (about $37.90 USD), making this launch particularly appealing for collectors and fans alike.
As the excitement builds around these unique products, many are left wondering if they will be adding these lightsticks to their collections. The release underscores the growing trend of blending fictional narratives with tangible merchandise, creating a new avenue for fan engagement in the K-Pop industry.
