Infinity Nikki Developers Address Furniture Pricing Controversy

Players of the popular mobile game Infinity Nikki are expressing their dissatisfaction with the game’s recent update, specifically regarding furniture pricing. Following the release of version 1.9 on August 31, 2025, developer Infold Games issued an apology for the “frustration and confusion” caused by the pricing of in-game furniture items.
The controversy erupted after Infold Games introduced a “home furniture pricing guide” during the highly anticipated update. Players reacted strongly to the prices, which many described as “WAY TOO STEEP.” Concerns also arose about the requirement to spend real money on “single-use” items. This backlash follows another recent controversy involving a collaboration with the game Stardew Valley, which had previously drawn criticism from the game’s creator, Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe.
In response to the community’s feedback, Infold Games published a letter on their official website, acknowledging the issues. “First of all, we sincerely apologize to all of you for the frustration and confusion caused by the pricing and usage of furniture,” the letter stated. The developers expressed their intention to create a “true home” for players in Infinity Nikki and outlined their vision of making it accessible for all users.
Developer Commitment to Improvement
The developers assured players that they are committed to making adjustments. “To meet everyone’s expectations for a true ‘home,'” the letter continued, “we prepared multiple free outfits, opened up a 90,000m2 island with a 100m build height, and offered over 999 pieces of free furniture.” Despite these efforts, Infold Games admitted that they did not achieve the right balance between paid content and player experience.
While the new housing system is now live, Infold Games committed to reevaluating the pricing of furniture packs. They indicated that some packs would return with revised pricing in the latter half of version 1.9. Future content will be optimized, and players will receive sketches for items in two sets: the Stellar Poems Pack and the Leisure Tea Brewing Set.
In addition to these changes, furniture items from the Astral Radiance Pack, along with the Echo Waterwheel and Seasons Couch, will be added as free rewards. Players can expect the reintroduction of the Stellar Cascade at a more favorable price in the future.
Community Engagement and Future Outlook
In closing, Infold Games expressed gratitude towards the community, stating, “We know that our ability to keep improving and progressing depends entirely on you.” The developers emphasized the importance of player feedback, saying they value every suggestion and criticism.
As Infinity Nikki navigates these ongoing challenges, players hope that the developers can resolve the issues surrounding pricing and enhance their gaming experience. With a new focus on community engagement and improved content, the future of Infinity Nikki may hold promise for both existing and new players alike.
For those looking for additional excitement in the gaming world, several new titles are set to be released this year, providing a range of experiences for enthusiasts.
