The quirky festival, Frozen Dead Guy Days, will make its anticipated return to Estes Park from March 27 to March 29, 2026. Known for its eccentric events such as coffin races, a polar plunge, and a unique brunch experience, the festival promises an exciting lineup for attendees. This year marks the second occasion the festival will be held in Estes Park, having relocated from its original home in Nederland.

The festival’s schedule includes a variety of activities spread across multiple venues in Estes Park, with the main events hosted at the Estes Park Events Complex located at 1125 Rooftop Way. Among the highlights is the Royal Blue Ball, taking place on the evening of March 27 at the renowned Stanley Hotel, situated at 333 E. Wonderview Ave. This elevated event encourages attendees to don their finest attire and ice king and queen costumes while enjoying live music and immersive entertainment.

On March 28, participants can take part in the Cryogenic Cannibal Chase 8K, a race that winds through the scenic landscapes of Estes Park. The event will also feature the signature Coffin Races, where themed teams will compete while carrying life-sized coffins. The festival concludes on March 29 with the icy Polar Plunge at The Stanley Hotel, alongside inventive Bloody Marys and brunch served at various local establishments.

Live music will be a prominent feature throughout the weekend, with performances from headliner Andy Frasco & the U.N., known for their energetic rock and roll style. Other acts include classic rock favorites the Rick Lewis Project, polka-rock band the Polkanauts, and local favorites such as Gasoline Lollipops. The Baltimore-based quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will also perform, contributing to a diverse musical experience.

Frozen Dead Guy Days initially began in Nederland over two decades ago but moved to Estes Park in 2022 due to a deteriorating relationship with the previous location. The festival celebrates the extraordinary life of Bredo Morstøl, a Norwegian man who was cryogenically frozen following his death in 1989. Morstøl resided in a backyard Tuff Shed in Nederland until his relocation to The Stanley Hotel’s old ice house, where he is now preserved in liquid nitrogen.

Tickets for the festival are currently available for purchase on the official website, frozendeadguydays.com. General admission is priced at $64.36 for adults and $36.12 for children. Those interested in attending can use the promo code FROST30 until January 30 for a 30% discount.

Frozen Dead Guy Days is set to deliver a weekend filled with fun, eccentricity, and community spirit, making it a unique winter experience in Estes Park.
